Shopvox Alternative - How Printlogic Compares to Shopvox

Shopvox is a shop management platform built for sign, print, and apparel businesses. In August 2025, Shopvox was acquired by Fullsteam Operations - a private equity-backed software group. Since the acquisition, users have reported price increases and a deterioration in support responsiveness. Shopvox has always been strongest in large-format and sign workflows; it covers digital and offset print more thinly, and it does not handle outsourced print management or print brokerage. Printlogic is independently and privately owned, covers commercial print across all workflows, and runs on a fixed monthly subscription with no contracts and no upfront costs. This page compares both systems directly.

  • Strong fit for shops where sign and wide-format is the core product
  • Established user community with broad peer knowledge
  • Good visual job management for sign production teams

Where Printlogic wins

  • Print broker and outsourced print management built in
  • Free onboarding, training, and support included - no erosion of service post-purchase
  • Fixed monthly subscription - no acquisition-driven price increases
  • Broader accounting integrations: Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, MYOB
  • Independently and privately owned - no Fullsteam, no private equity pressure

The Bottom Line

Shopvox built a strong product for sign and large-format businesses. If your entire business is sign and wide-format, it has earned its reputation in that segment. The issue today is not the software - it's the ownership. Fullsteam acquired Shopvox in August 2025, and the early signals are the same ones print businesses have seen from every PE-backed MIS acquisition: prices go up, support headcount goes down, and the roadmap slows. If you're a sign shop that also runs digital print, offset, labels, or outsourced work, Shopvox was never the right fit - it doesn't cover those workflows. Printlogic does. Printlogic has been independently owned since 2001, the pricing structure hasn't changed, support is free, and the product roadmap is driven by customers. If you're reconsidering Shopvox after the Fullsteam acquisition, Printlogic is worth a direct comparison.

A GREAT Print MIS - even if you don't use all the features!

I have tried a few systems and used Tharstern for 16+ years but for me, as a small print producer and consultancy, Print Logic is just great. It has saved me time and despite the few niggles and quirks, I use it all the time - couldn't be without it now!

PRINTLOGIC REVIEW
October 7, 2024
I have found the programme very easy to use. It exports the invoices into Sage, which helps with time management for our book keeper and eliminates the mistakes from manual entry. The reports are invaluable for marketing, so sales can see chase up quotes that have not been taken up, and chase clients who have not ordered for a certain period of time.
